There have been several posts on the forum asking if the Vivid Content extension has been abandoned.

The Vivid Content administration demo has been upgraded to use Joomla 1.5.6. The Vivid Content extension was successfully installed on Joomla 1.5.6 and seems to be working well.

 
Vivid Content 2.5.4 Released

Vivid Content 2.5.4 has been released and is now available. This release patches several issues and most Styles now support international characters. Joomla! 1.5.1 Released

Joomla! 1.5.1 has been officially released. Joomla! 1.5.1 fixes a major security vulnerability with the XML-RPC Blogger API plugin. The plugin is not enabled by default, but the Joomla! core team recommends that Joomla! 1.5 users upgrade as soon as possible.
