What happens at the end of the free trial?

At the end of the trial period the Vivid Content Extension functionality will be reduced. After the trial period ends you will be able to purchase a license and continue using the extension.

Is your software encrypted?

Yes. By encrypting our software we can provide our customers with a full working trial version and protect our product from software piracy. The software will continue to work even if the license server is offline.

The majority of web hosts support the encoder with no modifications needed on your part (i.e. No additional loaders are required). Read the System Requirements article for more information.

Unencrypted versions of our extensions are available to professional developers. If a product in not encoded this will be stated explicity such as for the Vivid Content Ultimate edition.

How often are updates released?

Vivid Content updates are typically released monthly, but this depends on several factors. If there is a major issue than updates may be released earlier. An approximate update schedule is available in the Support Calendar.

Does the Vivid Content extension include a manual?

Yes. The Vivid Content extension includes a built-in help system. If an internet connection is available you will have access to the latest help contents from the Vivid Tools website, otherwise the local help files are available. Help can be accessed by clicking the Help Buttons located on the Vivid Content toolbar.

Can I purchase more Styles for the Vivid Content extension?

Yes. Vivid Tools will be adding individual Vivid Content Styles to the Vivid Tools Web Store. The Vivid Content extension makes it easy to purchase and install additional styles. After the initial Vivid Content Extension release we will be releasing additional styles.

Purchase a style from our online store. After your purchase we will email you a Secure Package Install Key.
Login to the Joomla! administrator area. Select Components->Vivid Content->Style Manager.
Enter the Secure Package Install Key and press the Install Style button

Is it difficult to upgrade the Vivid Content extension?

No. Upgrading the Vivid Content extension is quick and easy and can be done in 4-steps.

Upload the new version of the component and place the license file in the component folder.
Ensure the Upgrade option is set to 'Yes' in Vivid Content Settings
Remove the old version of the component.
Install the new version of the component.

The process usually takes around 15 minutes and can easily be added to your scheduled maintenance routine. The best part about upgrading the Vivid Content extension is that it is not necessary to upgrade the Vivid Content modules.

Which version of Joomla! does Vivid Content support?

The Vivid Content extension is designed for both Joomla! 1.0.X and 1.5. In Joomla! 1.5 the Vivid Content extension will work with Lecacy Mode enabled or disabled. Although Joomla 1.5 Stable has been release, at this time Vivid Tools cannot guarantee that the Vivid Content extension will always function properly on Joomla 1.5. Vivid Content Version 2.5.3 will be the first version of our extension for Joomla 1.5 Stable.
