Glossary of Vivid Content terms.
Asset Folder
Each style has an back-end (administrator) and front-end (user) asset folder. The front-end asset folder contains display elements such as images or javascript files. The location of the front-end asset folder is, components/com_vivid_content/framework/front/vc/stylesfront/stylename/assets
The location of the back-end asset folder is, administrator/components/com_vivid_content/framework/front/vc/stylesfront/stylename/assets
Where stylename is the short name of the style.
Content Category Mode
While in Content Category Mode the Vivid Content extension retrieves content from Joomla! content items. The images used correspond to the first { mosimage } tag. The Title is the content item Title and the Description is the content item Introduction text.
Group ID
A unique Group identifier integer. Group Manager displays the Group ID of each Group.
Group Manager
The Vivid Content Group Manager allows administrators to create, modify and remove Vivid Content Groups.
Image Folder Mode
While in Image Folder Mode the Vivid Content extension retrieves images from a folder on the server. No title or description text is available while in Image Folder Mode.
Mode
A Mode is the method by which a Group retrieves content. Groups can be set to use one of three Modes: Slide, Content Category or Image Folder.
Slide Manager
The Vivid Content Slide Manager allows administrators to create, modify and remove Vivid Content Slides.
Slide Mode
While in Slide Mode the Vivid Content extension retrieves content from Slides created by using the Slide Manager.
Style Manager
The Vivid Content Style Manager allows administrators to install, update and remove Vivid Content Stlyes.
